Paulo Ribeiro is one of the team at GiveGetWin, and a blogger on strategy in Portugese at his site Estrategistas. He recruited Timothy Kenny recently and worked with Zach Obront to launch an excellent deal on Accelerated Learning For Entrepreneurs.
This is the first GiveGetWin deal that I didn’t personally touch before launch -- meaning we’re growing into a real organization and our processes are starting to work. They kicked a lot of ass with this, and I asked Paulo if he’d like to write up his experience. Here’s what he wrote up for you --

If someone asked me a couple of years ago whether I thought it was possible to do work that you like, be connected to great people and still make impact on the world, I’d probably say no. But hey, that is exactly what I’ve been doing for the past couple of months. And enjoying the heck out of it.
I had an insight a few of weeks ago and asked myself: “if I had an income 1000x bigger, what would I be working on right now?” And GiveGetWin stayed on top of my priorities. I guess that’s the beauty of it: if you like to do the stuff no matter how much money you’re making, that’s probably making you happier (without needing the money).
Sebastian already pointed out why he loves it. As a reader of this site as well someone who is working in the project, I’d like to make some highlights and give some concrete feedback, aiming for complete transparency.
Do some real impact in the world.
“You can do charity without feel bad about it”, part of the GGW spirit, is awesome and describes pretty much our work behind the scenes: everybody having a good time.
Work with people you admire
How cool is the possibility of working hands-on with one of the those you most admire in the world? Damn, how many persons in the history had the opportunity of doing this without getting out of their bedrooms?
The idea with working with Sebastian was already really appealing for me; he’s a heck of a guy who inspired me to do a lot of cool stuff so far. Besides that, the team is just awesome: I’ve been connecting with some inspiring and admirable persons. This is great for networking, but it’s even better to create the sense of community, of being part of something good, full of people somewhat like you.
I’m not going to lie: in general, it’s hard to resonate with people around me. It’s part of the price you pay for being the lonely dissident, for truly thinking outside the box. It’s what you give up for not striving for a normal life; if you want to do more, build more, create wealth, develop better habits, work on big problems... well, they stop understanding you.
But working with GGW is great because I’m being understood again.
Be part of an international team
You think technology is cool and making a skype call to someone the other side of the world is interesting. Wait for when you’re working with people all around the world; it’s freaking awesome.
Here I am doing my work in Brazil, then I shot an email to Eddy, in Bali, who will read when he wakes up, so that he can ask some information to Daniel in Berlin and … stuff like that. It’s mind blowing to see technology allowing crazy stuff like that.
Learn by doing
Sebastian has already talked about some of the brilliant work Zach is doing in terms of creating and improving processes for GGW. I’d never think of something like that, which means I learned from it. So, for example, next time I’m creating a project with lots of people, I’ll probably have the vision Zach shared with us in mind and I’ll search for opportunities to create processes and make the project move smoothly (and independent of specific persons).
All those points and I haven’t even mentioned the possibility of connecting with the providers, a great group of high level people.
For example, Zach and me just launched the first deal Sebastian wasn’t part of in any key role (Recruiting, Project Managing, Marketing, Copywriting, Fulfillment). I had the opportunity to connect with Timothy Kenny who runs a course about learning for entrepreneurs and got a 95% off deal. Crazy.
