Day 46 was untracked. I set priorities in the morning, but then got into a good piece of writing, outlining more writing, and picked up an excellent book and read 150 pages of it. It was Saturday, so was just letting whatever happen.
Day 47 --
Awake: 12:40PM (9 hours)
1:10PM: At hotel with good internet to work. Didn't make a plan for the day.
I should look at…
*Core current campaigns
*To-do list
*Goals2PM: Good call about talk in Beijing.
1:30AM: Amazing near 12 hour work session. Long term plans, sales, marketing channels.
3:30AM: Little bit of planning people to meet, socializing.
Sleep: 4AM
Carl Shan left a piece of feedback -- that towards the middle of the 90 day campaign, it'd make sense to go back and get into the spirit of it and retrack things.
I'm with him -- it's a good call. I've got about 80-100 hours per week budgeted now between my projects and those hours are largely "pre-set"... when you have that, the advantages of tracking go down (which are much bigger when on solo tasks that require focus)... travel tends to throw off systems too.
But he's right and got a good point. I actually can't see time on my calendar that's open to re-track everything and go back through goals... for instance, I've got work until 4AM today, I'm up at 8AM tomorrow for some meetings and work until the afternoon, then will need a nap to make it the distance until the night for work again.
It's good. I'm meeting tons of people, advancing projects quickly, work's going well, I'm getting invites to tons of things (more than I can handle actually), and have a great flow going on. My health is suffering very slightly with my diet slipping and Red-Bulling up to keep in motion, but beyond that things are going pretty well, though it might not be obvious from the logs here.
Interesting problem, eh? Carl's dead right though, I should clear a five hour block at some point and go clean everything up and systematize a bit more.
