I've been cutting, focusing, cutting more, focusing more.
Day 30 wasn't tracked, but was remarkably similar to Day 31, which was:
Woke: Approx 11AM
Reading 1 hour.
Phone 90 minutes.
1:30PM
3:30PM: A mix of reading, somewhat valuable, and distraction / surfing the net.
Expansionary work from 4PM to 11PM, client calls 11PM to 2AM.
Then, I took Day 32 (Saturday) off entirely.
You'll note I got off of time-tracking and setting goals the night before. This is a huge... what's the opposite of a boon? An anti-boon? Anyways, if setting goals the night before is a gigantic boon to productivity, then not setting them is a tremendous waste of an opportunity.
The reason my days pick up so much around 4PM is because we have a whiteboard at the office and that's when we work on expansionary things, just going straight down the list on the whiteboard. Which always turns out well.
Time to go back and get onto those core things. The last couple weeks have a lot of work, and some pretty good wins mixed in, but not that "700%+ of normal production" that's possible with a bit more planning and focus.
