It's been almost a week since I last posted?
Jeez.
The Tour has been amazing and jam-packed. Tons of good stories to share here and new insights.
A quick takeaway/reflection -- I keep thinking that, given I've heard so many amazing stories and learned lots of interesting lessons over the last week, I should write a really long and great post for you sharing them.
But then, I've been too busy to do it, and thus -- no post.
A common failure model -- perfect being the enemy of good. I'm going to get back to blogging daily for a while, even if it's short.
In other news, here's a selection of quotes (haven't processed all the email feedback yet, there's lots more) besides --
"Thanks again for the event last night! The talks were packed with fascinating insights and great practical advice. I enjoyed my evening immensely, and it gave me many things to consider." -- Yakov Shklarov — Vancouver UBC Talk
"The talk was great! Very insightful advice on how to get more out of yourself and relationships with collaborators and mentors. The speakers are wicked smart, and well worth chatting with afterwards if you get the chance." -- Wolf Tivy — Vancouver UBC Talk
""Gotta Be Good" dispenses with the usual tired advice and focuses on skills that will last your entire career. I started the evening skeptical and left inspired, determined to face the big, hairy challenges of my game development business. If you're lucky enough to have these guys visit your city, I would sign up right now.” — Alex Vostrov — Vancouver UBC Talk
"The Seattle talks were immensely valuable. I could relate everyone's talks to my life in very practical ways. I wouldn't remove a single talk from the session. My favorite talks was Eating Salt [on how to quickly make friends and find people to do creative and entrepreneurial projects with], and the finale that tied the theory together with practical examples.” — Joshua Thomas -- at the Seattle SURF Incubator Talk
"The Give Get Win event has, literally, the highest return on my time invested of anything I've ever done in my adult life. What an amazing experience." - VJ Jain -- San Francisco Talk at Broadway Studios
If you're in North America, hope to see you on the Tour --
Definitely sign up -- it's free and people are loving it -- and if you want to help beyond that, email me at sebastian@sebastianmarshall.com and CC zobront@gmail.com
If you're out of North America, looking forward to doing more blogging with you! Lots of lessons and stories to share. Perfect is the enemy of good, so let's keep cracking along with the writing.
